1-Month-Old Twin Brothers Found Dead Alongside Their Mom As Hurricane Helene Rages
A 27-year-old mother made a final promise to her father: she would protect her newborn twins from the deadly force of Hurricane Helene. Taking refuge in her home in Thomson, Georgia, Kobe Williams believed she and her boys, Khyzier and Khazmir, would survive the storm. However, Helene’s destruction was relentless.
As the storm intensified, a large tree crashed through the roof, killing Kobe and her one-month-old twins. They are the youngest victims of the hurricane, which has claimed over 200 lives across the southeastern U.S.
Kobe’s father, Obie, recalls his last conversation with her before she sought shelter in the bathroom with her babies. Tragically, their efforts to survive were in vain. Now, as the Williams family prepares for the funeral, the loss is immeasurable. “I’ll never meet my grandsons,” Obie shared.
Hurricane Helene has become one of the deadliest storms in recent U.S. history.
