STEVE HARVEY shares tearjerking story about his wife Marjorie – she was once accused of destroying his previous marriage
The adored Family Feud presenter, Steve Harvey, told a heartwarming tale about his life and his unwavering love for his wife, Marjorie. Harvey went on to pursue a career in comedy in spite of early setbacks and mockery due to his stammer. His ex-wife and kids received the majority of his profits from thievery, which he turned to in order to subsist as a homeless person.
He started doing stand-up comedy in 1985 and struggled mightily while living out of his car. Showtime at the Apollo gave him his big break and paved the way for success on The Steve Harvey Show and The Original Kings of Comedy. Harvey also achieved success as a writer.
Harvey’s life changed in 2007 after he wed Marjorie. They remained devoted to each other in spite of claims that she contributed to the dissolution of his first marriage. They co-run an organization that empowers young girls and supports impoverished areas, and they adopted her three children.
Steve Harvey poignantly honored his 18-year marriage at TheGrio Awards, where he accepted the Television Icon Award. He also highlighted the significant role that love and support have in conquering life’s challenges.
