On March 31, 2024, police responded to a call in Lawrence after neighbors heard a woman screaming. Cole was identified as a suspect in a child abuse case, prompting a search.
His family reported him missing, with his uncle posting about his last sighting on April 31, leaving Lawrence in a 2005 white Ford Explorer.
**Discovery**
On a Friday, the Kansas Sheriff’s Department found his body in Johnson County near an abandoned car. The tragic discovery followed days of searching by the Lawrence Police Department.
