In this small Irish village of just 1,500 people, everyone is used to living in modest quarters like this former barn. A lot of the local men used to come here and work in the furniture factory that used to be here.

One guy, skilled in the art of home restoration, was determined to transform the rundown, forlorn structure before him into a pleasant home for his family. The reconstruction effort ran from 2005 to 2008 and here is what is on the inside.

Take a look at this gorgeous, ultra-contemporary bedroom and you won’t want to leave. Many people, not just one or two, could happily call this place home.
