I came home and found my humiliated wife crying behind a closed door
A man turned to Reddit’s “AITA” forum to ask if he was wrong for evicting his sister and her twin daughters from his home.
The situation began when his sister, recently divorced, asked to move in with her two 16-year-old daughters. Despite his wife’s ongoing cancer treatment, the couple welcomed them. His wife, struggling with her self-image due to hair loss from chemo, had purchased a wig to regain confidence.
The nieces wanted to play with the wig but were denied. One day, the man found his wife crying; the nieces had taken the wig without permission, mocked her, and filmed the incident. Despite his anger, the sister dismissed it as a joke, which infuriated him more.
Feeling his wife was disrespected, he decided to evict them. “I later let them know about the eviction since they thought I wasn’t serious, and they started crying, begging that I let it go,” he shared. Despite pleas from his sister and father, he stood firm.
Reddit users supported him. “NTA. They’re 16, old enough to know better,” said Aunty_Fascist. Another user added, “If my son did that at 16, I would flush his phone down the can.”
