Fear As An Ambulance ‘Carrying Kid Patient’ And Five Others Dive Into A Fireball In The Philadelphia Plane Crash
An air ambulance carrying six people crashed Friday night near Roosevelt Mall in northeast Philadelphia, killing everyone on board. The victims included the pilot, co-pilot, paramedic, doctor, and two passengers, one of whom was a patient. The crash also injured 22 people on the ground, three of whom are in critical condition. The crash site affected several homes and vehicles.
The Learjet 55 had arrived at Northeast Philadelphia Airport earlier in the day and was en route to Missouri when it made a steep descent and crashed. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause, noting that there was no communication between the flight and air traffic control before the crash. The search for the plane’s black box is ongoing.
Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that all the victims were Mexican citizens. Authorities are providing consular assistance to their families.
The investigation is still in its early stages, with officials examining debris and seeking witness accounts. The crash occurred just days after a midair collision near Washington, D.C., killed 67 people.
